Encouraging younger players is vital, and at Pyrford, we hold Junior Academy in term time after school and at weekends, as well as providing camp options in the holidays. Holiday camps are a great way for your juniors to get a realistic view of the work that goes into playing golf, and how rewarding the sport can be.
Running in term time after school and at weekend, our clubs are run in 10 week sessions. With juniors separated by age group, they work towards getting to a level where they are ready to play on the course.
” A kid grows up a lot faster on the golf course. Golf teaches you how to behave.” – Jack Nicklaus
Enroll your juniors in our Holiday Camp programmes, open to all abilities, between ages 4 and 16, to get them course ready in no time. Our half day camp (Birdie Camp, 9am – 12pm) is suited to juniors with less experience who need to work on all round skills, and our full day camp (Eagle Camp, 9am – 4pm) perfect for young golfers with experience who are focussing on developing their course skills.
For less experienced juniors, who want to develop their all round game, Birdie camp runs from 9am to 12pm, and is focussed on instilling basic foundational skills before they move up a level
For players with a bit more experience, Eagle camp is aimed at improving course skills prior to juniors moving into playing on the course. This runs from 9am to 4pm.
